Aretha, A Tribute
This high-energy, glittering tribute to the Queen of Soul features Drama Desk Award nominee Capathia Jenkins and three-time GRAMMY-nominated artist Ryan Shaw performing iconic favorites including "Respect," "Think," "A Natural Woman," "Chain of Fools," Amazing Grace," and more. This spectacular show is complete with big band orchestra, backup vocal trio, Heritage Ensemble, and ICC Choirs.
Musical Fables
A program of great musical story telling to delight the imagination of all ages. The tale of plucky young Peter’s battle of wits with the Wolf, the quirky caricatures of Carnival of the Animals, and Poulenc’s humorous Concerto for Two Pianos make for a fun and light-hearted concert adventure. Featuring local radio celebrity Greg Batton as narrator, as well as piano soloists Victor Cayres and Paul Johnston.
Red, White, and Rhapsody in Blue!
A patriotic concert celebration to anchor Memorial Day Weekend in the best way. Featuring American masterworks by George Gershwin and Morton Gould, this evening will be packed with both fun and inspiration. Color Guard, American Salute, An American in Paris, Pops Hoedown, and Rhapsody in Blue, played by brilliant young American pianist Llewellyn Sánchez-Werner – plus Sousa’s Stars & Stripes, conducted by the HFO’s “Guest Celebrity Maestro”.
